HOT LAKERS ECLIPSE THE suns

The Los Angeles Lakers got the job done against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night, hopefully continuing a new winning streak with their second victory since the loss to Detroit a few games back. The Lakers did many thing well in the victory over the Suns but I was most impressed with the lack of turnovers. The Lakers only gave up the ball 3 times in the first half and finished the game with a mere 7 turnovers. The defense held up well and kept the Suns to 92 by making Phoenix settle for tough shots away from the paint.
Kobe didn't have a particularly great game but managed to rack up his season average of 24 points in 32 minutes on 8-23 shooting. Gasol had a low scoring night with only 4 points but had 9 assists and nine rebounds with the Lakers being +21 while he was in the game. Radmanovic was dangerous from downtown shooting 5 for 5 from the 3 and finishing with 15 points.
The bench mob did its job and brought 43 points to the party led by Lamar Odom and my fellow Taft High alumni Jordan Farmar (in case your wondering of course im jealous, but who wouldn't be).
As for team stats the Lakers finished with 42-90(46.7%) field goals made, 10-21 from the 3(47.6%),11-14 (78.6%) free throws made, 6 steals, 41 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.
Amare had a lackluster performance despite a 21 point night in 38 minutes. Shaq was more efficient going 6-12 for 15 points. Steve Nash had 10 assists but only 8 points in a game where i felt he should have been more proactive in the shooting department. The Lakers held the Suns to shooting 44.2% and 33.3% from behind the 3 point line,as well as forcing 15 turnovers and showing Phoenix fans what a real team looks like.
Lamar Odom said it best during a huddle when he said "home cookings always good but there's nothing like roadkill."
